Problem: Multi-agent tasks not auto-delegated/claimed in session —— Trove problem library

What you will run into

Multi-agent is configured, but tasks in the session aren't auto-delegated/claimed. Multi-agent set up but not doing work.

Why this happens

Auto-delegation is not a daemon — it is rules read once at session startup: Claude Code loads CLAUDE.md from the project root when a session starts and registers the delegation rules (which task goes to which sub-agent) into that session.

This load is silent — it does not error when it fails; it just looks like "rules not active". So "configured but not working" only has two directions to check: is the rules file in the current project, and is its content recognized.

That is also why "I ran setup in another directory" equals "not configured": rules are generated per project, so a different directory means a different ruleset.

Step by step

1. Check whether CLAUDE.md is loaded — Required

In the session, check whether /context includes the OMC delegation rules.

2. Rerun /omc-setup in the correct project root — Required

CLAUDE.md is generated per project; it must run in the target project root.

3. Confirm the delegation rule format — Required

Consistent with the v5 docs (guidance schema contract, see AGENTS.md).

How to confirm it works

Session context includes the delegation rules (expected shape):

/context → output includes the OMC delegation rules
Task submit → auto-delegation/claim works

Other environments

Symptom

Multi-Agent is configured, but tasks are not auto-delegated/claimed in sessions.

Cause

Claude Code did not load OMC's CLAUDE.md (delegation rules live in CLAUDE.md); or the plugin was installed into another project directory.

Solution

1. Check whether CLAUDE.md is loaded: ask in the session / check /context for OMC delegation rules.
2. Re-run /omc-setup in the correct project root (CLAUDE.md is generated per project).
3. Confirm the delegation rule syntax matches the v5 docs (guidance schema contract, see AGENTS.md).
